A quick little update. Libby had a great day yesterday and night last night. The really good news is that her white blood count went up again and is now at .6. Going in the right direction!
If you look at that image of where she is in the “Wine Cellar,” she is nearing the upward curve, which means there is light at the end of the first tunnel. A few more tunnels to go, but it’s really awesome!
Libby is staying very busy, which probably doesn’t come as a big shock to anyone. They took out her triple port and are using the original one now. Accessing her port was not pleasant but it’s one step closer to being home.
She made a new friend on her floor who made her a sweet hat. That friend had her transplant yesterday so Libby wrote her a happy birthday note and took her one of her extra games and puzzles, books and some chocolate.
She and Sheri are working hard to expedite the Master Bedroom renovations and tie up loose ends on the Townhome that Alex will live in next year at Auburn.
Then, last night, she and Sheri watched the season finale of The Bachelor!
So, if you reach out to Libby and don’t get a response as quickly as you would like, just know that she feels as well as can possibly be expected and is keeping super busy with all that. Thank you for all of the continued prayers. She is truly being buoyed by them. Specific prayers right now are for the engraftment to continue, to keep her side effects well managed, and to keep her healthy from any bugs.
